Sometimes it pays to be your own personal food inspector. Zoe Butler, despite screaming after seeing an unexpected creature in the can of tuna she just opened, is glad she looked closely… had she not, it would have been fed to her children. Gulp…
We found this reported by Good Housekeeping:
Butler spotted a “sea creature” she knew wasn’t supposed to be in her food. “I opened the top of the lid and saw a purple-y thing, a gut sack or intestine — then I turned it round and pushed it with a fork and saw it looking back at me… It’s got like a spiny tail along the bottom.”
She took action, contacting the canning company, tweeting about too…
