Complex Style posted an article today supporting some of the stereotyped views of sorority life. It is also part tongue-in-cheek as you’ll soon discover.
The “leak” refers to an email which can be read in full too via their article. The article mentions early on:
The email outlines “appearance guidelines” for the women of the Alpha Chi Omega chapter at University of Southern California during “polish week,” the week before they start meeting potential new members.
Spanx is all important, as is makeup where the author was noted to say:
If you are not wearing the required makeup, I will stop you and apply it myself. I don’t care if you’re late for class. I don’t care if you’re a sophomore or a super senior. I will stop you. If you don’t know how to apply all this makeup, check out my Pinterest board. I picked out all the videos and products with you guys in mind!”
Careful with those eyebrows too.

Admittedly, there are valid reasons behind the sorority sterotype. Not all of them are valid, especially considering their representation in movies and on TV.
