Protect a Bird Feeder

Bird feeders are nice for birds to drop by and enjoy a nice snack, but when the squirrels eat all of their food or break it then it defeats its purpose. Luckily WD-40 can help with that. Carefully spray a layer of WD-40 on top of the feeder and that way if they happen to land on the feeder with the intent to “steal” the food the pesky squirrels will slide right off!

Be careful not to overdo it and, of course, keep the chemical away from the seeds, themselves. No need to risk toxic chemicals on the bird food.

If another rodent tries to eat the bird food, this technique should also work for them. No one wants another animal destroying a perfectly nice bird feeder when it’s meant for birds to enjoy.

Pull Stuck Glassware Apart

No one likes dealing with glasses that get stuck together or stuck on a surface after entertaining company. If the glassware is really stuck and you try to pull it off of a counter suddenly you run the risk of breaking a nearby glass or the glass you’re trying to get unstuck. Thankfully if you squirt some WD-40 on them and then wait a few seconds for it to work its magic, you should be able to gently pull the glasses apart.

Again, be careful to clean any affected dishes or other surfaces so nobody gets a taste of the oil!

You may be worried about WD-40 all over the place, which is a common concern. Luckily it’s easy to clean it up if you do it right after you separate the glasses. Simply rinse off the glasses with some soap and water and they’ll be good as new!
