A Wet Nose Means a Healthy Dog
It’s hard when a pooch isn’t feeling good and sometimes it’s hard to tell whether a dog is sick or not based on their symptoms. The common assumption is that a dog with a cold, wet nose is perfectly healthy and that dog who’s sick has a dry and warm nose.
However, according to veterinarians how damp or how not damp a dog’s nose is doesn’t tell us a lot. An older dog may have a dry nose because he’s getting older, but that’s normal. Most dogs also lick their noses frequently, so they should at least be a little damp.
If you think your dog is sick don’t base it off of his nose, but rather make an appointment with your vet and find out what he thinks. The truth is a dog’s nose can’t tell us much at all, besides that it’s rather cute and is excellent at smelling anything and everything!
The Forbidden Fruit in the Bible was an Apple
Many people who have read or heard of the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible believe that when they ate the forbidden fruit it was an apple. While they were in Eden they were living the good life with plenty of good things to eat, including fruit. However, even though they could eat whatever they wanted they were told to never eat from the tree of good and evil. Unsurprisingly temptation got the better of them and they decided to eat from it anyway.
Almost every movie and TV show you see depicts the fruit as an apple, but it’s likely that it was a fig, and not an apple. Early rabbis believe it was a fig because the following verse in the Bible mentions sewing together fig leaves to create loincloths for clothing. So even though the apple has plenty of history it may have not been the fruit that Adam and Eve munched on, resulting in a world full of sin.
