No news story behind this share, but with photography being a hobby and coming from the dark skies area of Pennsylvania, I grew up outside. Day and night, if I had a choice, I’d be outside, under the clouds or under the stars.
I was too young to remember the first time I stood under dark skies. However, I know this… they are missed. Where I currently live, light pollution prevents all but about a dozen stars beaming through most nights. And in over 15 years here, the Milky Way has never made its appearance.
Should it appear, well, that would be news.
For the time being however, the “Chasing Starlight” video on the next page will have to do…
The travel video, created for Travel Alberta was created by photographer Jack Fusco in Jasper and Banff National Park, Canada. It is only 3 minutes in length, set to music. Full screen viewing is recommended.
It’s amazing how the galaxy seems so full of life as it moves so gracefully throughout the night.
If you enjoyed this non-news brief and the video, please share! Your day deserves some enjoyable moments, free of news chatter!
